Q: What inspired you to start learning your instrument?
When I was 5 years of age, I really wanted to play the flute. However, I was too small for it, so my mum suggested trying the piano. Since then, I am playing this instrument and enjoy it very much.
Q: What do you enjoy most about playing your instrument?
I like the journey of learning new pieces. It is hard at the beginning but when I keep practicing, I learn the notes better and better and I am, finally, becoming proud of my achievements. Also, I like recording my own playing and listen to it. And finally, I like to play new melodies to my mum, dad, grandma, and grandpa.
Q: What advice would you give to someone performing for the first time?
Relax, do not take too seriously, remember the counting and give all your heart!
Q: What are your musical aspirations?
I want to grow up and be good at playing the piano, so I could teach others. Also, I would like to create my own songs.
While Liepa is not practicing, she enjoys swimming, mathematics, playing with friends, and riding her bike
