Q: What inspired you to start learning your instrument?
From a young age, I have wanted to learn an orchestral instrument; I chose the clarinet as the warm, round tone caught my attention

Q: What do you enjoy most about playing your instrument?

One of the main reasons why I enjoy playing the clarinet is because of the freedom to shape the music that’s written on paper into whatever I want it to be: this can reflect mood or thoughts.

Q: What advice would you give to someone performing for the first time?
It is natural to feel nervous; confidence comes with experience. In every performance, you will make one mistake but it’s how you move on that makes you a successful musician.

Q: What are your musical aspirations?
My aspiration is to become a member of a large-scale orchestra. I thoroughly enjoy listening to orchestral pieces due to the talent and effort placed into every strand of sound

While Evelyne is not practising, she enjoys playing the piano and watching movies with her little brother
