Q: What inspired you to start learning your instrument?
A: I didn't get inspired to play the clarinet, I just wanted to play an instrument.  Mum suggested I start with recorder.

Q: What do you enjoy most about playing your instrument?
I enjoy the opportunity to play in showcases with others.

Q: What advice would you give to someone performing for the first time?
A: If you are new to performing I would say, stay calm.  If you make a mistake, don't worry, carry on.  If you squeak, don't worry, carry on.   And, if you get lost in the rhythm ... don't worry, carry on.

Carry on.

Q: What are your musical aspirations?
I would like to pass Grade 1 and I would like to play in a competition.

When she is not practising the clarinet, Beatrice enjoys reading Jacqueline Wilson's Tracy Beaker books.
