Q: What inspired you to start learning your instrument?

A:  I was inspired when I first heard my sister, [Stephanie], playing the piano. I started playing the piano when I was six years old; I am eleven years old now and I still really enjoy playing the piano.

Q: What do you enjoy most about playing your instrument?

A: I enjoy playing for other people because not only does it entertain myself but it amuses others too. I especially enjoy playing to friends and family because I like receiving feedback and praise.

Q: What advice would you give to someone performing for the first time?

A: Be brave and pretend that you are performing to just your family and friends.

Q: What are your musical aspirations?

A: My musical aspiration is to achieve my Grade 8.

While he is not practising the piano, Alfred enjoys: Karate, he is a black belt; and, swimming, recently achieving his ‘High-Level’ commendation.
